One of my favourite podcasts to date.  A wonderful conversation with former Tánaiste Mary Harney.  Mary spent 17 years in government and served as Tánaiste for no less than 9 years, became the first woman to lead a political party in Ireland and held many important ministerial portfolios.  She was also notably the longest serving female Government minister and TD in the state's history.

Fr Peter McVerry is social activist and a strong advocate for those who have no voice in society.  He is a critic of government policy on issues such as homelessness, drugs and criminal justice.He founded the Peter McVerry Trust over twenty years ago, which has progressed from a three-bedroom flat in Ballymun to becoming one of the country’s largest organisations responding to the issue of homelessness. By 2020, the charity was supporting over 7,800 individuals experiencing homelessness.
