Before we go into the symptoms of peri/menopause- let’s dive into what these terms mean.
What is Perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the 7- 10 years before menopause. You will still have your period during this time. Estrogen starts to fluctuate most during this time which is why symptoms can be more pronounced. It can begin as early as your late thirties, early forties.
Menopause when a woman has had no period for a FULL YEAR, the next day she is in menopause. Technically women spend the second half of their lives in menopause.
Surgical Menopause occurs suddenly when both ovaries are removed. Estrogen production completely stops.
